Summer 2013 Breckenridge Rodeo
IMAGE

Following the inaugural Breckenridge Rodeo last summer, organizers have asked the Town for additional programming for this summer. The Town approved an 11-weekend schedule, which will run Saturdays and Sundays from mid-June through Labor Day weekend. For information on the Breckenridge Rodeo, visit their official website.
Breckenridge Rodeo is requesting the following: 1) Kids Rodeo on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. due to the high demand of kids events last year. The kids rodeo will include events strictly for kids, such as mutton busting, boot race, grocery race, stick horse barrel race, clown acts, calf scramble, goat tail untying, gunny sack race, egg toss and best dressed cowboy/cowgirl competition. This would necessitate bringing in livestock on Friday afternoon and evening. 2) Hosting a CBR (Championship Bull Riding) sanctioned event on Friday, July 19; which precedes the CBR Finals in Cheyenne, WY on July 23, and thus riders and bulls will already be in the area and attracts top bulls and top riders. 3) On Labor Day weekend, the Breckenridge PRCA ProRodeo would like to host the 2013 Million Dollar Bucking Bull Championship. Bulls will compete over the summer for $1,000,000, and is expected to attract enthusiasts from around the country.
